TOMMY LEE On Upcoming Autobiography: 'It Will Be A Mindblower!'

March 10, 2003

Former MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee has promised that his upcoming autobiography, "Ragz to Riches", will contain many details not included in the CRÜE's best-selling band autobiography, "The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band".

" 'The Dirt' was only a look into four guys' lives," Lee wrote in a posting on www.joysmayhem.com. "This is a microscope into only mine. This will be a mindblower! People really don't know all!"

Although Lee has every intention of continuing with his music career, he is currently embarking on several non-music-related ventures which he hopes will take maximum advantage of his creativity.

"I'm in a really cool place right now where I'm kinda switching gears," he said. "I'm doing some acting, writing a book, and starting a ladies lingerie line. Doing a lot of other creative things as well as my music... Ya know, keeping things fresh!"

Tommy has already started the songwriting process for his next solo album, which he hopes to release before the end of the year through an as-yet-undetermined label (following his split with MCA Records last year). However, according to Lee, "it's a little premature to tell" what the upcoming CD will sound like. "I'm just letting it flow... and it will kick ass!!"

Lee has yet to secure a publishing deal for his upcoming autobiography, which is expected to surface in 2004. A movie version of "The Dirt" is due around the same time.
